As a physician, I am trained in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. I can use medication as a part of treatment, and I am experienced in treating conditions that usually require some medications as a component of treatment, such as obsessive-compulsive disorders and bipolar disorder.
As a psychotherapist, I am trained as a psychoanalyst and also in experiential modalities such as AEDP and ISTDP. My focus in therapy is to help patients experience their internal, emotional selves more fully and directly. This allows more vitality, and moves us from surviving into thriving.
I work in-person in my office in Madison Valley neighborhood of Seattle, and can also work remotely for patients who live in Washington State. I do ask that intakes be in person at my office, and I require periodic in-person visits if medications are a part of our work.
My pronouns are he/him/his.
